Two nights at Akasa is the right amount for a Friday-to-Sunday escape from Delhi or Chandigarh. Drive up Friday afternoon, settle in by sunset, and the next 48 hours move at the rhythm of the valley.

The package books a king room with a private balcony — sunset views over Ranjit Sagar Lake, the Dhauladhar peaks behind the lake, the Mall Road a short walk away if you want to wander. Saturday morning is for a guided nature walk around Dalhousie if you'd like one (we'll set it up); Saturday evening is the bonfire on the lawn, on request — folk music if you want it, or just the fire crackling and the sky going darker than you remember it can.
